Family Fishing and Fun Day

The Lions Club will again be running the Churchill Community Family Fishing & Fun Day. The Fishing and fun Day will be held on Saturday 22nd of November is on again The Churchill Community Family Fishing & Fun Day is a family-focused event that aims at getting parents and their children from the Churchill & wider communities to bring their children to Lake Hyland, Mathison Park Churchill to take part and engage in a day out fishing and having fun together at a low cost. This event is also about community engagement, Family units coming together, all being involved in a pastime that they may continue to enjoy into the future.

The Family Fishing Day is open to all families, children, and youth aged between 5-17 years from Churchill and Churchill wider communities, all must register to enter the Family Fishing & Fun Day, to take part and be eligible to win some great prizes. All children taking part must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. The event excludes no one from participation or restricts anyone from participation due to Gender, race, disability, or affordability.

The day does not restrict anyone using Lake Hyland and its walkways walkers such as walkers and joggers who use the Lake Hyland paths for exercise.
All families participating may only fish in the designated Fishing area as laid out in the information pack provided to them at registration. the day is open to all, with a strong focus on Family and children.

Lake Hyland is accessible to all people and for those who may have physical and other disabilities.
Registrations start at 10.00 am and fishing starts at 10.30 am and finishes at 2.30 pm and presenting of prize at 3.00 pm.
